Reading is self improvement. It lasts as long as the breath does.
Reading is developing a knowledge base that will one day be used for a currently unknown endeavour.
Reading is a one sided conversation with the towering intellects of the past.
Reading is learning from those who have gone before us.
Reading biographies, history and stories builds a database for our own intuition and each new piece of information is a chance to update the mental model.
Reading is going to a wise person for an elegant answer and leaving with a beautiful question.
Reading helps us to see further by standing on the shoulders of giants.
I wasn’t always an avid reader and it’s definitely something I’ve had to work on throughout the years.
However, As long as l can remember I’ve had this inner drive and lingering curiosity to learn and reading has really helped me channel this energy into something useful.
It’s the never ending pursuit of knowledge.
